INFO/PENGENALAN BALKANS

The Balkans atau "Balkan Peninsula" merujuk kepada kawasan di bahagian tenggara Eropah, yang terdiri daripada negara seperti Bosnia & Herzegovina, Albania, Bulgaria, Kosovo, Macedonia, dan Montenegro. Sebahagian daripada Greece, Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia, Romania, dan Hungary juga terletak di kawasan Balkan.

Kawasan Balkan didiami oleh penganut bermacam-macam agama: Islam, Kristian Ortodoks, Kristian Katolik dan juga Yahudi. Banyak tempat di Balkan yang ada masjid, gereja dan synagogue dalam kawasan yang sama.

Kawasan pergunungan di Balkan terdapat banyak sungai kecil dan besar. Sungai utama di Balkan adalah sungai Danube dan Sava.

ITINERARY PAKEJ

DAY 1 (MEALS ON BOARD)
• Assemble at Kuala Lumpur International Airport for your night flight to Skopje.

DAY 2 (LUNCH, DINNER)
• Arrival Skopje Airport and meet with English speaking guide throughout the trip. • Skopje city tour : Alexander the Great Statue, Macedonia Square, Stone Bridge, Daut Pasha Hammam, Old Buildings, Mustafa Pasha Mosque, photo stop at Kale Fortress and shopping at Old Bazaar. Overnight Skopje : Hotel Panoramika local 4* or similar class.

DAY 3 (BREAKFAST, LUNCH, DINNER)
• After breakfast, check out hotel and proceed to Ohrid in North Macedonia. • On the way to Ohrid, stop at Tetovo to see unique Painted Mosque from XV century. • Ohrid sightseeing : St Clement Square, Ali Pasha Mosque, Old Chinar Tree, Old Bazaar and Pearl Shop. • Optional tour : Ohrid boat cruise EUR 30 per person (price subject to change). Overnight Ohrid : Hotel Belvedere local 4* or similar class.

• After breakfast, check out hotel and proceed to Ohrid in North Macedonia.

• After breakfast, check out hotel and head to Tirana City in Albania. • Tirana city tour to see Skanderbeg Square, Skanderbeg Statue, Et’hem Bey Mosque, Clock Tower, City Hall, National Opera and National Library Building. • Continue journey to Shkoder known as Albania’s ancient city. • Shkoder sightseeing by bus to see old town, mosque, cathedral and traditional built road in XXth century which bears distinctive architecture of this ancient city. Overnight Shkoder : Hotel Kompleksi Exalco local 4* or similar class.

• After breakfast, check out hotel and head to Tirana City in Albania.

En-route take a snap shot of beautiful Sveti Stefan, a small islet with 5 star hotel resort. • Budva sightseeing : Old Mediterranean port surrounded by an impressive city wall built by Republic of Venice. • After lunch, continue to Bay of Kotor, one of the most indented parts of Adriatic Sea sometimes called the southern-most fjord in Europe. Kotor Bay is a natural and cultural-historical region protected by UNESCO. Overnight Trebinje : Hotel Bellevue local 4* or similar class.

• After breakfast, check out hotel and proceed to Montenegro. En-route take a snap shot of beautiful Sveti Stefan, a small islet with 5 star hotel resort.

Admire vibrant architecture of Rectors Palace. Its style is basically Gothic with Renaissance and Baroque reconstructions. • Next proceed to Mostar, a city with fascinating history, beautiful architecture and natural setting in a valley on Neretva River bank. • Visit Old Bridge UNESCO world heritage, Bey’s Mosque, Turkish House, Old Bazaar. • After breakfast, check out hotel and proceed to visit Dubrovnik Old Town.

• After breakfast, check out hotel and head to Sarajevo in Bosnia.

• After breakfast, check out hotel and transfer to visit Plitvice Lakes National Park, one of the oldest and largest national park in Croatia. • Zagreb panoramic tour by bus to visit Dolac Bazaar, St Mark Church, Lotrscak Tower and Ban Jelacic Square (if time permitted). • Transfer to Zagreb Airport. • Depart to Kuala Lumpur in the evening.

DAY 10 (MEALS ON BOARD)
• Arrival home with wonderful memories and momentous souvenirs from Balkans vacation. **Arrangement of hotel and itinerary is subject to change if room is fully booked, weather not permitted, caught in traffic jam or due to unforeseen circumstances
